FROMES DRAMATIC TRADITION
Harry Truscott, on the left above, together with wife Dorothy (below) were responsible for encouraging the members of the old Frome and District Ciné Club to try their hand at drama.
They retired to Frome in the early nineteen seventies from Clapham where they were involved in local amateur dramatics. Over the years Dorothy and Harry appeared in many club and members films until ill health prevented them from doing so.
In the picture above Harry is sharing a joke with former member Ted Davies just before the monster strikes in Sasquatch. Dorothy is trying to keep her valuables safe from shifty Ron Hounsome in The Train Now Standing.
The picture at the top of the page was taken from the Super 8 film. Both these films were made in the early nineteen eighties in colour.
